A Stable Modeling of Large Plant Ecosystems

چکیده

The focus of this paper is finding a balance of the plant density and the plant spatial distribution in visual models of large plant ecosystems. This is achieved by simulating plant competitions for resources that is sensitive to many constants and initial conditions, and can easily become unstable causing some individuals to die and the others to grow exponentially. We have found that a negative feedback can provide stability able to resolve catastrophes and unstable states. The replication and seeding cause plants of the same species to grow in clusters that guarantees visual plausibility of the resulting models.

Habitat suitability modeling of water birds and waders in Hamun wetland by by Maximum Entropy model

Climate change and human activities have increased negative pressure on natural ecosystems. Wetlands are such ecosystems that widely affected by these negative changes. Birds as a part of wildlife in a wetland have damaged by destruction of wetlands, so, a large group of them, are at risk of extinction. Habitat destruction in wetlands in arid and semi-arid areas has more negative effects on the...

Evaluation of Genotype × Environment Interaction and Grain Yield Stability of Advanced Bread Wheat Cross-bred lines by GGE Biplot Method

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Investigation of the interaction of genotype × environment and identification of stable and high yielding cultivars in different environmental conditions is of great importance in plant breeding. The objectives of this study are to investigate the interaction of genotype × environment using GGE bilpot graphic method in advanced cross-breeding lines...

Thermodynamic modeling and comprehensive off-design performance analysis of a real integrated solar combined cycle power plant

In this paper thermodynamic modeling and comprehensive performance analysis of a real integrated solar combined cycle (ISCC) power plant are performed. Performance of the plant cycle is assessed in off-design condition and in two operation modes of power-boosting and fuel-saving. Such an approach has not been considered for an ISCC plant in the previous studies. Under studied ISCC which is loca...

Comparing Different Modeling Techniques for Predicting Presence-absence of Some Dominant Plant Species in Mountain Rangelands, Mazandaran Province

In applied studies, the investigation of the relationship between a plant species and environmental variables is essential to manage ecological problems and rangeland ecosystems. This research was conducted in summer 2016. The aim of this study was to compare the predictive power of a number of Species Distribution Models (SDMs) and to evaluate the importance of a range of environmental variabl...

Emerging topics in stable isotope ecology: are there isotope effects in plant respiration?

The ability to distinguish between ‘light’ and ‘heavy’ forms of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has proven to be a useful tool in the study of plant ecology and the role of terrestrial ecosystems in the global carbon cycle. Plant processes imprint unique isotopic signatures on atmospheric CO 2 such that measurements of the ratio of heavy to light carbon in CO 2 can provide a means of detecting...
